About Me

My name is Miguel Araújo and I am from Viana do Castelo, Portugal.

I've always been a fan of computer science. Since I had my first computer at age 5 up to today where computer science and information technologies are the biggest slice of time in my life.

I became very early a curious and interested of open-source, converting me completely to user of GNU/Linux and also to Mac OS X. Well... Lately I mostly use Linux.

At the moment I am a software developer at MySQL / Oracle. I'm part of the MySQL Enterprise Monitor team, working mostly as being one of the developers of MySQL Proxy.

And here I am; sharing useful information, knowledge and hacks to the world with the help of my friend Tiago Quintela. On the past this blog was a University 'space' which I shared with my colleagues and friends:

  • Pedro Gomes;
  • Nelson Gonçalves;
  • Ricardo Gonçalves;
  • Tiago Oliveira;
  • Rui Quelhas.
